Why does a small position make it easier to capture big profits? After I posted yesterday, my short $LAB has already nearly 5x profit.

Looking back at this market round, $LAB has been rising continuously for over a month. Based on the pattern, it seemed ready to fall. On 6.29 I opened a small short at 14.88, and it has now dropped to 5.

But today, what I’m most grateful for isn’t how much I earned, but that my position management was pretty good.

Many people think a small position can’t make money. In fact, it’s the opposite.

What truly prevents you from making big money is often a position that’s too large.

Because a heavy position magnifies every market swing, amplifying emotions.

A slight dip makes you doubt.

A slight rise makes you fear profit reversal.

A minor pullback makes you rush to close.

In the end, before the market finishes, you’ve already gotten off.

This time I shorted $LAB with only 3x leverage and a modest position.

Because the risk stayed within an acceptable range, I kept holding a bit longer. During the negative fee period I kept receiving deduction notices, but since the position was small, the deductions weren’t much.

This trade confirmed for me:

Profit is taken out via position management.

If I had used higher leverage and a larger position, I would have stopped loss and exited early.
