A monetary system that belongs to no single tribe.

Yonatan Sompolinsky placed a verse from the Book of Ezra in Kaspa's genesis block.

The word for silver in Aramaic. the language in which portions of Ezra are written, is Kaspa, which is where the project's name comes from.

The verse is from the decree of Cyrus the Great, the Persian ruler who issued the emancipation of the Jewish people and others, and who is described in the Old Testament as a uniquely just and pluralistic ruler.

Sompolinsky describes this as an aspiration for a project that people across political and cultural lines can identify with.
