Origin Stories A monetary system that belongs to no single tribe. Yonatan Sompolinsky placed a verse from the Book of Ezra in Kaspa's genesis block. The word for silver in Aramaic. the language in which portions of Ezra are written, is Kaspa, which is where the project's name comes from. The verse is from the decree of Cyrus the Great, the Persian ruler who issued the emancipation of the Jewish people and others, and who is described in the Old Testament as a uniquely just and pluralistic ruler. Golang -> Rust transition is not just a rewrite in different language but a rewrite from first principles. We’re able to implement new, complex consensus changes because the foundation is optimized and allows for it. The old codebase just didn’t have that setup and a bunch of these HF work would’ve taken longer to implement or be impossible to do so.

Honestly, I don’t know if Kaspa fundamentals alone are enough anymore. Kaspa is like BTC, but nobody spends the underlying currency, realistically —> hence the need for native smart contracts and stables. We always knew this but we also saw future potential and invested early. Now in 2025 Kaspa still does not have native smart contracts. It does not have stables. Furthermore, the main account had great vision and branding originally, and lately, due to the founder’s desires, it has declined in strength and focus, Kaspa has lost a major component to its original success —> communicating its value proposition . What does Kaspa have at this point? Not sure to be honest, without good communication, visioning, and branding, it lacks on all fronts. No stables, no native smart contracts. Also, if BTC goes into a bear market, without a real alt season sometime in the next 5 months, BTC will go to $50k-60k and Kaspa can easily go to a penny or less again in 2026. What you currently hold will turn into dust
