Look what I dug up... the GMI Monthly from May 2014. We'd just held the first ever GMI Round Table, and a couple of members who'd backed a Bitcoin exchange in Singapore got up to talk. I was expecting something about payments. Instead they completely blew my mind. I went back to my desk and wrote that if you could record anything on an onchain ledger you'd have proof of ownership of everything... every insurance contract, every housing deal, every stock and bond... At the time that sounded ludicrous. Putting a stock on a blockchain felt like science fiction. What I understand now is this is far far far bigger than that. Agents are about to become the most active participants in the economy, and the only thing they can read, verify and trade is a token. So everything they need has to become one... money, identity, permissions, data, compute, political opinions, beliefs, information itself... Literally everything will be a token.

What I love about James is that he is an utterly manic bull but uses a long-term time horizon in all of his posts and basically a combination of all of this works every time. Either crypto is on an adoption curve or it's failed. If it's on an adoption curve, all of these entry points are perfect over time, not an exact price. @JamesEastonUK Be like James.

This is a chart that I watch closely. Bitcoin got over two standard deviations oversold versus Nasdaq and is now sharply moving higher. Let's see but I think over time crypto should outperform the Nasdaq over time. Secular trends like this are super helpful in asset allocation https://t.co/ih4nBuPh9J

⚠️ Trump Media changes its Bitcoin strategy after transferring $165M in BTC Trump Media & Technology Group, the parent company of Truth Social, has significantly reduced its discretionary exposure to Bitcoin after transferring approximately 2.628 bitcoin:native, valued at about $165M, to Crypto.com. Following these moves, the company‑linked wallets hold around 4.261 BTC, an amount that roughly matches the bitcoins used as collateral for its convertible notes. The firm initially accumulated 11.542 BTC for roughly $1.370M near market highs. However, the recent transfers suggest that most of its discretionary position is no longer part of its active treasury strategy. The shift changes Bitcoin’s role within Trump Media’s balance sheet. The remaining BTC appear to be primarily intended to back financial obligations rather than serve as a long‑term active reserve. The operation reflects a broader trend among companies holding digital assets: as market conditions evolve, some firms are prioritizing liquidity and financial flexibility over prolonged direct exposure to cryptocurrencies.
