➥ a stablecoin most of CT barely mentions just crossed $1.1B
@usdgo_official supply reached $1.108B as of July 29, up 30.32% over the last 30 days
- that works out to roughly $258M in net issuance
- while the total stablecoin market contracted 0.79% over the same window
even the latest week added around $107M, or +10.7%
USDGO only launched in Feb
- issued by @Anchorage Digital Bank
- distributed by @osldotcom
- positioned around enterprise payments + treasury settlement rather than retail DeFi
i find this more interesting than another high-yield stablecoin briefly farming supply
a regulated enterprise dollar reaching $1B this quickly suggests stablecoin growth is starting to come from new distribution channels, especially outside the usual USDT/USDC loop
still, supply alone is not PMF, a few institutional mints can make the chart look stronger than actual usage
now I’m watching txn vol, holder concentration and whether $USDGO keeps circulating after issuance
that is what separates payment liquidity from parked treasury capital
