I hope Kaspa didn't miss the train for an active fee market.
This should have been a priority a long while ago.
Not using the (otherwise atrocious) KEF failed launches to at least kick-start an active fee market was a huge swing and a miss, and one of the reasons Kaspa is scraping for hashrate nowadays.
Kaspa is an ASIC-based PoW whose current hashrate is < 25% of its ATH. Let the implications sink for a second.
I tried to pursue this when I was still in a communication relationship with the core, but I was dismissed at every turn.
If anyone wants to try to pick this up again, talk to @maxibitcat. As the only person who bothered to formally study it, he's literally the world's top expert on Kaspa's fee market.
If Kaspa is gonna be adopted its not going to be free to use BUT with $KAS advancing to 100bps this gives users the ability to mine their own transactions with a reasonable wait time at whatever fee rate they choose!
I really don't think people comprehend this advancement because everyone is so used to the traditional slow block times/high fee is the only way to be included life.
$KAS is built different. Study it.
According to CoinMarketCap’s latest sentiment rankings, Kaspa leads as the most bullish cryptocurrency for the fifth day in a row.
The top five also includes PI, Worldcoin, XRP, and Bitcoin, reflecting sustained retail optimism. https://t.co/zpzJRoIjfe
